MHASC history and eNews

While most have been relaxing over winter several members have been working hard: sailing in the Masters Worlds (see new Gallery); researching and writing up the club’s history (thanks Nick!); and looking at ways to improve our communication with members.

Web Site

The web site has been upgraded and is now mobile friendly.  Check it out on your smartphone and you will see a mobile friendly drop down menu to access anything you want.  If you have any issues please let Rob know.

Facebook

MHASC now has a Facebook page which is updated regularly with the latest Laser sailing and club news.  Thanks again to Nick for this initiative.

Phone App

You might like a more direct link to club information than the web site on your mobile and Nick has set us up on “Team App to” meet this need.  The app is an easy way to directly link to racing results, calendar, duty roster, Seabreeze and BOM radar.

Download Team App onto your smartphone. Go to Team App (http://teamapp.com/app) or find Team App in the App Store or Play Store on your smartphone.

Launch Team App and search for MHASC.
Then:
1. Sign-up to Team App. You’ll be sent an email to confirm your registration.
2. Search for MHASC App and request access.

MHASC History

The Middle Harbour Sailing Club was formed by a group of VJ enthusiasts led by Barry Wilson and Brian Baker on 22 March 1948, at Adams Boat Shed. Thirteen years later the ‘new’ club house on the old hoppers wharf was built with donated funds and volunteer labour. From 1966 to 1976 the club raced NS14 and Javelins. leading into the Laser era. Read all about it on the MHASC website history pages under the Our Club menu.
