A party was held after racing on Sunday 24 March to celebrate the founding of the Middle Harbour VJ Sailing Club 75 years ago on the 22 March 1949. The club later morphed into the Middle harbour Amateur Sailing Club, becoming “The Laser Club” since 1974.
Commodore Graham Jennings led the party and paid tribute to the founding members and those many volunteers who built, maintained and ran the club until now. Guests included past Commodores and Terry Baker, son of a founding member, Brian Baker as well as many current and past members and families.
